Airbus Defence and Space has delivered the 5th Eurostar Neo spacecraft (SpainSat NG1), to its launch site for Hisdesat thanks to the 5th horizontal transport container, called the CTH05!
The CTH05 was specified by Airbus Defence and Space. It was designed and manufactured by eXcent, more precisely by its Romanian branch in Bucharest, and by local subcontractors in Buzau, with the support of eXcent’s headquarters in Toulouse, France, and ESA’s Telecommunications Directorate.
The 25-tonne container with a maximum payload of 7.5 tonnes is the result of 5 years of development and manufacturing, enabling Airbus Defence and Space to transport by air, road, rail or sea any spacecraft in the wide range [3.5 to 7.5 tonnes] of the Eurostar Neo spacecraft family.
Congratulations to the eXcent and Airbus Defence and Space’s AIT teams who contributed to the success of this development which arrived in time for its first use on an Antonov124 flight to Cape Canaveral.
