Our team in Paris has successfully designed and built 2 bespoke industrial trolleys for Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance, for the transport and storage of aircraft engine adapters.
These adapters enable different types of engine to be connected to the test bench, and require particularly demanding handling logistics.
Project objectives :
▪️ Accommodate the 8 existing types of adapters
▪️ Guarantee safety, robustness and ergonomics
▪️ Offer optimum manoeuvrability despite exceptional dimensions
Key figures:
▪️ Dimensions: 8.5 m long – 5 m wide – 6.5 m high
▪️ GVW: 20 tonnes
▪️ Mobility: 4 steering wheels synchronised by connecting rods and drawbar
▪️ Secure front access via mechanically operated flaps
▪️ Adapter installation interfaces: each adapter rests on female cones with a spring compliance system.
XXL constraints:
Designed as transportable modules, the trolleys were assembled directly on site at Air France.
